COE Profile Selector

This procedure describes how to assume/release a COE Profile with the COE Profile Selector. The applications available in the Application Manager are directly related to the profiles that are currently assumed. If a profile is a locking profile, only one user at any particular time can assume the profile. If the profile is locked, the system administrator can unlock it with a call to COE_clear_profile_lock.

Step Instruction Results

 Login to the workstation as the any user.
 Starts a desktop session.

 On the toolbar, select the "ProfileSelector" icon.
 Note that this icon is usually represented by a small head in profile.

Opens the "Profile Selector" window.

 To assume a new profile, in the "Available" list, select the profile to assume.

Select the [>] button.
 The profile is listed in the "Selected" list.

 To release an assumed profile, in the "Selected" list, select the profile to release.

Select the [<] button.
 The profile is no longer listed in the "Selected" list.

 Select the [OK] button.
 The "Profile Selector" window is closed.
